Working with header graphics

    I am working with Aegaeus for the first time, getting used to its powerful options. I would like to have a header image which fills the header area, with no white space on any side. I would like it to fit like the featured image on our home page: http://www.lightofthespiritpress.com. I can find no help for this.

    What is the required width? (I have tried to find out using Firebug, without success.)

    Can you advise?
