Wondering if i should activate Slider Revolution

i saw this Slider Revolution example “Discovery of Natural Wonders” and demo is here –But they will not tell me if it comes with the $20-something activation fee, or if that one works in WordPress at all. In fact, they do not accept ANY Pre-Purchase questions that i could find–you have to pay first! Does anyone know about this particular Slider template/module, or if there is a way to get a question to ThemePunch or whoever before spending money?

Also, if i activate SR, will that affect updates, or parent-theme vs child-theme stuff?

I hope one of you have maybe tried this. Thank you.
