Visual Composer Not Updating Which Does Not Allow Me To Edit Pages in Backend

My visual composer is not updating which is not allowing me to update my pages in backend edit.I have tried to get into contact with the plugin developer and have not and I do not want to pay 34 dollars again for a plugin that was included in the theme. I have seen many issues on this subject can you please help me out
