Visual Composer Back End not working

Hi there, I read on previous threads that other users have had the same problem with the backend editor in Visual Composer not working/appearing, which is the problem I have. I followed the fix of deactivating the Visual Composer Plug-in, deleting it, and then installing from the Appearance – Plugins. But that did not fix my issue. What is the next step?
