View button or change add to cart button.

Hello,

Two part question.

1. Is it possible to change the add cart button both on the categories and single item pages but for only specific items? I would like it to be a contact us button with link to contact page. This are simple products and products with variables.

Or

1.If I make a product External/Affiliated in the category it does not display the view details button and add to cart button but is it possible to get it to show a view details button? I have a combination external and products on the site.
