Use an image to open a modal instead of a button?

Hi,

Is it possible to use an image as a trigger for a modal window instead of a button?

I’m kinda after something similar to a 4 picture gallery where the images open in a modal, but… I want extra written content to appear with the image when it opens in a modal, so… the regular gallery function isn’t any good.

Any help appreciated.
