Use Ajax Search Pro Plugin with Highend

I love the highend theme, but am needing more customization for the search results page. My website is:

I installed the Ajax Search Pro plugin and created a new search bar. The problem is AJAX is unable to override the Highend theme search results. Is there code I can place in the theme files to direct search results to the Ajax plugin style?

I would like to use the Ajax plugin, so I can fully customize the appearance of search results. If this is not possible, I would like to remove some fields that are displayed in the results. The comments, author and read more fields of posts are not necessary in my search results.
