Updating Visual Composer in HighEnd Theme

Hi,

I have a question regarding updating the Visual Composer plugin in the HighEnd theme.

I understand that to update the plugin you have to:
1. Go to Plugins page and deactivate & delete the current versions of the plugin.
2. Go to Appearance > Install Plugins and install them again. This will install the latest version of the plugins.

Question: I have used Visual composer to format and build my entire website. If I delete the plugin (and all of it’s associated files), won’t I lose all of the formatting on my website? I am afraid that if I completely remove the plugin, I will end up with a website full of visible shortcodes when viewed in a browser window.
