Sticky text color in Special Header

I’ve noticed that when the special header is enabled, the background color of the top menu defaults to a transparent black color when in sticky mode. The menu text also defaults to white. This is fine at first, but I also see that the text turns black when hovered over, which effectively erases it. I’m not able to change these colors in the color customizer. Is there a simple fix for this issue? I’ve attached a picture showing an example of the problem.
