Slider on *not* landing page?

I have several sliders for my site. Each pertains to a different page. For some reason, I am only able to insert sliders on an aegeus “landing” page. However, I do not want all these pages to be categorized as landing pages. When I categorize them as say default or any other category the slider does not function.

Also, I want to disable the footer area on all slides *except* for the landing page. I have not figured out how to do this. Each page appears to have a disable footers selector box but this does not function.
