side navigation and full width sliders

Hi guys,

I did not find anything regarding this topic in the forum, and it’s a big problem for me.
This is a general issue that I have with either the revolution and the layer slider.

I am using the revolution slider. Basically what happens, is that the layer image is simply overlapped by the side navigation area. So, a part of the image is hidden, and the image is not centred in the content area.
Instead, I would really love to have a margin on the left size exactly the width of my navigation area when using sliders.
Futhermore, is there a way to make layers also really responsive? Because when I change the width of my browser window, only the image is scaled, but the font stays the same size and doesn’t scale down.
