Shortcode Generator for Icon Not Adding My Class

I try to add my class in the shortcode generator for an icon and it doesn’t add my class. It shows up in the short code but when I inspect the code when the page is rendered all the HD classes are the but mine is not inserted into the class attribute.

I had to create a JS function to insert the class into the “i” tag.
