Settings made to web page dont stay selected, also having problems with buttons

I need help and I think that these problems may somehow be connected. When I edit my homepage, I want to keep my layer slider up and the fullwidth setting. EVERY time I update my homepage, the layer slider vanishes and the full width that I selected goes back to highend default option.

When I try to link my buttons to other pages (the squared outlined buttons right under the layer slider) they tell me that the URL is undefined, when i clearly select a web page for it to link to.

I feel as though there may be coding error within the classic edit mode. Not sure if that could affect my inability to keep selected fullwidth and layer settings, as well as my inability to link my buttons to web pages.
