Scrolling presentation – change menu colours

Hi,

I’ve tried doing this in the live colour customiser but not luck. Essentially I have a series of photos which sometimes have dark and sometimes light backgrounds so I need to change the menu from dark to light or perhaps a colour that suits both.

Can you tell me how I do this?
