Screets Live Chat is causing the site to crash

I am having an issue with Screets Live Chat. When I have it active, it is showing Connection error! Please try again… in the upper left (almost hidden from the WP sidebar) and then I will get a white page with the Connection error! Please try again only on it as I move into other sections of the WP.
If I deactivate it, it disappears. I had a similar issue on the Aegaeus template and was told because I was using double quotes in the headers Info Text box. This is not the case here. Any ideas?
