Revolution Slider isn't responsive on mobile devices. Please help!

Hello,

I have a the same Revolution slider on all of my main pages on my website http://www.thenerdnewshub.com (Home, Movies, TV, Comics, Gaming,D&D and Anime) and the slider works great on the desktop but when I view the same pages on my iPhone 5S, the revolution slider doesn’t appear to be as responsive as it should be. I checked and I do have the Responsive Design turned on in the Highend Themes> General Settings.
There are 2 problems:
1) The slider images are being cut off on the left and the right on both the vertically and horizontally oriented iPhone screen.
2) The slider has a black rectangle that appears below the slider on a vertically oriented iPhone screen but not on the horizontally oriented iPhone screen.
Note: The only way I got the black rectangle to disappear is to set the slider to a 100px height, but this is too small of a slider for viewing in a desktop environment.

If you could please help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it!
