Removing hb_gmap google JSAPI from theme-scripts.php

The proof is always in the pudding, but could you give me some advice in advance on what might happen if I remove this line of code? (or comment it out)

The line of code is in theme-scripts.php.

wp_enqueue_script( ‘hb_gmap’, ‘//www.google.com/jsapi’, null, HB_THEME_VERSION, true );

The reason I want to remove is, is because I am not using google maps (Chinese FW issues).

Any hints/tips are welcome.
