Questions RE: New Highend Upgrade

Hello All,

I stumbled upon the new Highend Upgrade here in your forum, and I have some questions and concerns.

I’ve reviewed the latest post on your instructions, and I’m not comfortable with proceeding with the upgrade until you can provide a path for preserving customization. I have a huge website that has taken hours to build. I simply cannot afford to lose any of those customizations.

1. Why is this upgrade manual versus automatic?

2. Why didn’t I receive notification of this upgrade via email?

3. Is this upgrade for security or performance related issues?

4. How do I preserve customization? Please provide a path for that.

5. How vulnerable am I without the upgrade?

6. What kind of content or customization am I going to lose if I upgrade as instructed? And how will this affect my site, SEO, and the design I’ve spent hundreds of hours building?

Please know that I have been very pleased with the Highend Theme, and I’ve even recommended it to others. And your customer support has been superb. However, the above questions leave me with genuine concerns, which I’m sure you can see are quite serious.

I hope to hear from you soon, as my host has informed me that a manual upgrade such as what you’ve instructed could devastate my site. I trust you will be able to provide answers.
