problem with wpml switcher

Hello
since about 10 days i’m talking with wpml support and i can’t understand wich is the problem.
So i hope that you can help for understand and find a solution.

if you go in a not translated page like this http://test5.l2gshop.com/portfolio/bensen
and you switch language from italian to english, you will be redirect to http://test5.l2gshop.com/en/, translated home page (that have some problem like don’t show client carousel i will think on it in other moment).

In settings i have choose for “ignore language” so i think that there are 2 option when a visotr switch the language for a non translated page:
1) the switcher don’t must show the second language (in this case english)
2) or the switcher don’t redirect to the translated home page and keep the visitor on the original page

in my case nothign of the 2 and the settings are totally ignored.

have you seen something similar? you know if there are some problem with the switcher?
