PORTFOLIO thumb/excerpt lengths not consistent

Hi,

Created a page with a portfolio – standard template and created a portfolio item. The item shows in the portfolio page however:

1) the thumbnail’s size is different from the demo portfolio items’ thumbnails. The item that I added is longer in height but I checked the uploaded images (my image is 500 × 334 while the other demo images are bigger eg. 1130 × 600). I can’t find where to configure the sizes for the thumbs in portfolio pages.

2) excerpts show in the portfolio item that I made and I don’t know how to remove it. I’d prefer it to be the same as the demo portfolio items where it just shows the category and date published. I also can’t find anywhere how to remove these excerpts. I even made sure that all fields are similar.
