Portfolio or Gallary?

Hello,

So far your theme is awesome. Thank you. I am new to wordpress, this is my second site. I am creating a kids site that will have images, videos, cartoons, coloring pages for a variety of different categories. For instance: Images – Cars, Images – Trucks, Images – Tractors, Images – planes, Cartoon – Cars, Cartoon – Trucks, etc…

I will have an unspecified number of items that I want to have all displayed for a specific category (Images – Cars), (Cartoon – Cars), etc…

Then when a user clicks on the image, I would like a popup to be displayed and I want to add a Print Button, Save Button, etc… on the popup page. Will I be able to add code to this page? Based on all my reading between the documentation and the Forum I believe it is correct and I think I should use the “Portfolio” Template and NOT the “Portfolio Gallery Type” option. Is this Correct?

This is what I did and it isn’t displaying any images, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. There isn’t much documentation on setting up and organizing portfolios, are portfolios in general for wordpress the same and if I found documentation on setting up portfolios will it be different from how to do it with Aegaeus?
