"Portfolio" element question.

I’m just now figuring out how to use the Portfolio element.

I’v put one in my footer. I’ve figured out that the small images that show up in the Footer Widget are clickable and link to the corresponding Portfolio page.

Is there a way to temporarily disable this link? I need some time to build all those Portfolio pages and would prefer nobody can click to them until I’m finished.
