nothing works with visual composer

I cannot see the buttons on the page editor for visual composer. it is stuck in the “Visual” tab. the “text” tab does not work, nor do many of the other links to alter and change the page. even the “help” tab cannot be selected. i am unable to edit page except to add text in the text field and can NOT even add media.

i have unistalled the plugin and reinstalled it, i have checked the php memory, i have disabled other extensions on my browser. this is the same problem that i see on another computer. what can i do or adjust.
