Newbie in need of help!

I have had Highend WP theme installed and I’m doing okay at building my website except for one very big thing. The slider at the top where it has the 3 revolving slides for the Highend theme will not remove. Somehow I have managed to turn one of them into a blank, but not the picture I want. I’m even ok with just one picture if I could just get it in there instead of the Highend stuff.

I’m really in need of some visual instructions on this, but the HB instructions on Youtube are so small and go way too fast to figure it out. Does anyone know of any instructions that are slower like some of the others on Youtube?
