Needing help to show entire blog post, not just excerpt

I read that there was going to be an update to show the full blog post, not just an excerpt. I don’t see the update, if there was one??

I am needing to show the entire blog post, not just an excerpt on the highend theme.

Also, when you put the mouse over the main photo in the blog post, it goes black with a white cross in the middle. How can I remove this?

One last question: How to I change the photo and add the bio on the About Me on the front page?
