navigation area background color

I have to mor questions about the navigation area. How can I change the color of the navigation to black, without changing the background color for the logo area? I want the logo to stay on white and only change the background of the navigation area to black. (I use type 2)

How does it work?

And how can I align the menu (navigation) to the right site if I use the type 2 of the navigation, I mean logo left und it the navigation, but align right.
