Multiple Install Issues

Hello, I have an install of Highend and simply modified one of the demo templates. After my install I have the following issues:

1.) Responsive theme is not working – I am using the revolution slider as laid out in the demo theme, but the site does not appear correctly on ipads or iphones – slider is only half way visible and menu (which I have on the sidebar) does not appear on tablets or phones.

2.) Anytime I go to a new page, the slider (which I only modified from the original template) shows the picture but not the title or subtitle text. If I refresh the title and subtitle appear, or if I slide to the second presentation slide on a page and come back I can see the title and sub title. This happens no matter what operating system or browser I use. (Have tried Mac Yosemite OX, Chrome, Safari, Firefox and PC IE and Chrome)
