Layer Slider Problems

I have a couple problems with the layer slider I am using for recent posts and have not been able to figure out these on my own after serious time trying with them.

1. How can I delete the black space and + sign that appears when you hover over a picture in wordpress highend blog theme (i also have this problem for the regular blog post featured pictures) so that It just dispays the picture only.

2. How can I add the title of the article under the picture in the layer slider not in the top corner as it appears by default.

3. How can I background color box at the bottom of the picture for the title text to go in so that its readable in the layer slider.

4. How can I shrink the featured picture(s) on the layer slider to fit as an adjusted image not just blown up as it currently is.
