'Insert' shortcode into Visual Composer not working

I’ve tried everything. Disabling plugins, reinstalling VC, running a number of java options and updates, and still nothing seems to fix this.

When I open Visual Compser and try to enter shortcodes.. I can select the shortcode, add any information, etc.. but as soon as I click ‘insert’ nothing happens. Nothing loads, no movement at all. I think its js related, can someone help??
