Image not linking to external URL

Hi

I really have enjoyed building my website with the highend theme! I am new to wordpress and have found it fairly easy to build my website on your theme using the templates, etc.

I have hit a block though and after reading all of the posts, I still cannot resolve the problem. I have some images on my home page and want to link them to another website or another page in my website. I added “single image’ via visual composer and placed the “image link” in the drop down menu for the “single image settings” When I click on it, a box opens up and the circle keeps going around but it does not go to the URL. I also added an image to a text box and added the link to an external URL by clicking on the “link”icon- once again nothing happened 🙁 I have tried adding images to my other pages and still cannot link them to a URL.
