I thought this was fine and the case was closed.
Unfortunately this is the response from the Plugin developer:

Thank you for contacting Screets. We only provide premium support for our customers who have valid license from CodeCanyon. I suggest you to contact with theme author or asking help WordPress community to fix the issue.

I apologize we could not be of more direct assistance to you. Please let us know if you have other questions we can assist with.

I purchased the Aegaeus WP theme and had it installed. This plugin appeared once this theme was installed so I assume that it has come with the theme.

To be perfectly honest I don’t think I’ll even use this Plugin. I’m reluctant to remove it because there are no guarantees that my original problem will disappear and I like the option to change my mind in the future.

1. Is the “screets-chat” plugin part of the Aegaeus theme?
2. If I remove it will this effect anything else?

This seems to be a frustrating game of pass the parcel.
I’d appreciate any advice.
