How was this highend site created?

Can you please tell me how this Highend home page was created: http://hb-themes.com/themes/highend/presentation/#ultimate-wordpress

I notice there is no scroll bar, the circle navigation is on the left, there are clickable buttons on the images, the navigation background at the top of the page is transparent. How is all this done?

Am I correct in thinking that it is sections and a slider has not been used?

Can this scrolling presentation only be created on a one page site or can it be used for a full width section within a one page site?

Also, when viewed on my desktop, I’ve noticed that there is a slide out section on the right. How was that created.
