How do I remove or change the colour of this bar?

I’m trying to keep my page very clean and simple and through trial and error (I’m not a web designer) I’ve mostly managed to figure out where all the colours and fonts are located… except, there is a grey “bar” between my header and my revolution slider and agin at the bottom.

I originally installed your Minimalistic Demo so I’m just editing it… MY SITE IS NOT LIVE, SO PLEASE DON’T ASK ME TO SEND YOU MY URL. I’ve attached a screen shot of the issue. Just under the navigation headings there is a long grey ‘bar’ and I cannot find how to get rid of it or change the colour of it.
