Highend Team Member Mail not functioning

Hello,

I am having trouble getting the mail icon on the team carousel to function.
In the team members setting section i have entered an email in the mail section as mailto: example@email.com
but still when the mail button is clicked in the browser, a new blank page opens up with no content.

On another note:
how do i remove extra spacing around my logo, below the page title and above the pre-footer?
