Highend: change color of blog titles

Hello,
I would like to change the color of the blog titles. I have tried adding the following code into the Editor, but the color will not change. I know I am in the right place, because I can change the font size and it does work. It just will not respond to color changes.
I also tried pasting this code into the General theme settings custom css.

The only color response I can get is when I plug the color into the theme Color Customizer in “Color – Accent”. And that will only change the hover color.

.post-content h2.title {color: #3429c0 !important;}

Any other suggestions?
