Highend 2.0 update created dead space in header

Hi, I updated Highend theme to the 2.0 version and it added apprx 1.5 inches of dark deadspace under my navigation bar below the bottom border of my header. Now deadspace is on all of my pages, so everything including my slider and content is pushed down the page. I called my host’s tech support and all they can do is revert me back to the old version of Highend. I wanted to see if it could be resolved through you first. Need direction please. Thanks.
