High End / Media Grid / image elements problems

I have high end theme, visual composer and woocommerce.
All have been updated to latest versions.

Problem loading images for media grids and slide shows as follows :

When I select images for the element from the media library I can select as may as I want but if it is more than 5, they wont load into the element and the program hangs. 5 or less is OK, but never more.
The same applies to any of the multiple images elements.

I have tried loading 5 then adding an extra 1 but get the same problem. The only way I can get a page full of images is to add multiple grids but load only 5 on each.

What could be the problem? I could attach a screen video if that is possible.
