hide video link in blog exerpts

The old theme hides the video links in excerpts on the homepage by default. My programmer tried doing the same in the Highend theme. This is what he said: “I tried to filter it out using some php code as well as the Advanced Excerpts plugin, but the theme was still overwriting those”. See attached screenshot for examples of the old and new versions.
