General Setting not saving changes / logo duplication

Hello,
i hope all is well.
I need help with several issues please.

problem 1:
I am trying to make changes in the theme General Setting. When I click on save button, I receive “save successful”. However, when I reload the page, the setting returns to the old settings.
I have a cache plugin and I delete cache regularly.
I have theme version 2.2.0.1
WP v. 4.1.1
I increased the max_execution_time in wp-config.php as follow:

define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘128M’ );
set_time_limit(400);
/**

But still can not get the general setting to “truly” save the changes.

problem 2:
The logo in the top of the page is duplicated for some reason. I found a temparery soultion by using the Alternative Logo option on each page. Is there a permanent solution for the logo duplication? see attachment.

problem 3:
a black area appears under the top/main menu. when I check elements, the system show it is a slider “<div id=”slider-section” class=”clearfix ” style=””><canvas id=”hb-canvas-effect”></canvas></div>… How can I make this disappear in all of my post pages??? see attachment.
