Gallery does not function on ipad for highend theme

I built my gallery in the Highend Theme and it displays on my computer in Firefox and Safari just fine, yet on my ipad it only displays my featured image. It does not show the small icon buttons, nor does it become a slider. It’s just a still image. It functions as a slider on my iphone, but does not show the icons either. Is there a fix for this? I thought this theme was fully responsive.
