Full Width Background Colors

Hello.

I’m currently building my new website with the Highend Theme, and I’m really frustrated with the way I have to go about adding a full-width background color to a row. Why do I have to add a full width element and then insert all of the shortcodes into the text editor just to be able to make my background color full-width? It defeats the functionality of visual composer because I can’t see any of the elements inside the full-width section without opening it to edit it.

This issue is causing me to waste a lot of time during my initial design work, which is even more frustrating considering I thought I was buying a full-feature theme that would make my building my site a breeze… so much for that.

Is there any direction you can provide to help me rid my design of this inconvenience? Here’s an example of the type of site I’m looking to build (multiple sections, each with different background colors):
