Essential Grid Skins over Vimeo vids in Custom Grids

Hello,

I have created a custom Essential Grid featuring 6 Vimeo videos. Because this is a custom grid, these videos to do exist as separate posts. The trouble I am having is that none of the skins which feature overlay options function OVER the video itself. I can have functional elements appear below or above (as in a masonry layout), but not on the video image itself.

Additionally, the lightbox feature does not function of these videos, and only an Even layout setting will allow the “fullscreen” arrows to appear on the video.

Any suggestions?
