Essential Grid Problem

After putting an essential grid into my website, the images appear faded / transparent.
I’ve tried going through everything and cannot seem to figure out how to make it appear solid and clear. Attached is an image. See how the images in the bottom section are faded / overshadowed? How can I make it solid like the images above within essential grid?

No matter what skin I use or what I do in essential grid, the images are faded as shown.
