Design links on the "Site" page and Revolution Slider question

Hello,
I can’t design my site and use the visual composer because the design links are not all contained under their heading link, so I can’t make any actual changes. I can’t find how to reconfigure the tool bar at the top of the site page. Also, in the revolution slider, can the “home default slider” be used with another home page, e.g. Home – Example 3 in the Home Samples 1 link? I am really wanting to get my site up, but I’m not having great success. Thank you!
