Demo importer issues – duplicate content, internal error 500

    A few issues with Demo Importer.

    1. There is NO confirmation dialog box to import data, so clicking on “Import FULL Demo Content” or “Import LIGHT Demo Content” by mistake can delete all your theme configuration settings and replace them with stock demo. This is not good.

    2. Full demo import fails with error 500 on some hosts even with CPU execution time set to 120 and RAM set to 128MB. Perhaps the import procedure can be revised so it’s less resource intensive?

    3. Even though v1.6 was supposed to fix duplicate content creation, it still does it for the footer if import is done several times. Screenshot attached.

    4. Perhaps it’s time to add a menu option to DELETE all demo data? Currently, the only way to get rid of it is to use a DB reset plugin or just reinstall WP from scratch.

    Please see if you can fix these for the upcoming v2.0 release.
