Default Sidebar

    How can I get rid of the widgets set in my default sidebar? As I was feeling my way around the theme I had set the default side bar with some widgets. Since then I have deleted and inactivated these widgets but they continues to show on the page. When I go in to Appearance / Customize the “default sidebar” does not show up in my editor.
