Decrease white space left/right on small mobile screens

Hi

I’m trying to decrease a white space that appears on the left and right of content when viewing the website (homepage or single post pages) on small mobile screens.

On smallest screens a disproportionate white space appears to the left and right of the content (see screenshot). I’m trying to decrease using the @media query without result

@media only screen and (max-width: 320px){

}

Could you please help which container should I deal with to achieve my goal
