Database Error

Hi,

When I send my subscriber email and my traffic spikes, my users received an error “error establishing a database connection.” This was intermittent and only seemed to happen when I had higher traffic, which was not all that high, maybe 1-2k at the most to break it.

I’ve discussed with Blue Host and outside WP consultants, and both seem to think it is theme or a plugin.

I have disabled several plugins and trying to take it to a minimum. I really don’t want to change the theme after all the work I just put into the redesign.

Has anyone had a similar issue and have any guidance on known issues?
