css to change colors on blog

I need the css to change color of links to white in sidebar and the backgrounds of the posts from white to a grey. Or tell me where in css style i can change this. It needs to be done on a few sites for high end theme.
Also, when I post a link I sometimes cannot see your comment due to the link image of the site covering up the text in these posts.
