css for links in Aegaeus theme

I would like to make links that are in body text content (in the pages only) bold and underlined when hovered over. The links as of now are not showing up enough to where people can tell that is a link. This is what I tried in the custom css: a:hover { text-decoration: underline; font-weight: bold !important; }

I am obviously missing something! Can you help?
